Wanting to travel more with a full-time job? If yo Wanting to travel more with a full-time job? If you work remote or hybrid, give workcationing a try!

I don’t mean never use PTO - workcationing is how you can travel even when your PTO runs dry or you need to save it for a later trip!

Workcationing is a great way to stretch a weekend trip! Instead of arriving Friday evening and leaving Sunday night, try flying in Thursday and working Friday from your destination, so the second you close your laptop, the trip’s already started. Or stay through Monday, work from there, and fly home that evening instead of racing back Sunday night. Bonus: weekday flights are usually cheaper too!

For destinations that are hard to reach, it’s usually necessary to spend extra days in transit. Instead of burning PTO on flight days, try flying into a city that gets you closer to your destination first and workcation there until it’s time to fly onward. You break up a long travel run, save your PTO for days you’ll actually enjoy, and get to explore a new place (or revisit an old favorite) along the way!

For example, flying to Tanzania takes a couple of days from the US, so I flew into Portugal the weekend before, worked remote there all week, and then continued on to Tanzania the following weekend!

Workcationing really opens the door to seeing more of the world without giving up your full-time job!

Nothing beats a true vacation of course, but if it’s between working remote in a new destination or not being there at all I’ll choose the workcation every time!

If you have the opportunity to take your remote work to different cities or countries you should take advantage of it!

What’s your dream workcation destination? I’m always looking for the next spot!

When I was in Guatemala, I got to try this Merino When I was in Guatemala, I got to try this Merino wool tee and now it’s my new favorite top for travel!

The Woolx Addie tee does it all! This top stays wrinkle-free and fresh, is so comfy and breathable, and goes with everything. For my carry-on only travelers, this shirt is for you 🧳

I booked a Lufthansa business class flight from Mu I booked a Lufthansa business class flight from Munich to Denver for just $200 out of pocket! I’m breaking down exactly how in this carousel 👆

The short version: transfer bonuses + Aeroplan = business class for a fraction of the cash price. The same flight would have cost $7,593 on Lufthansa’s website!
